Wezesha Heartland Tanzania (WHT) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization established in 2021 (Registration No. 00NGO/R/2334). We are committed to transforming the lives of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) through holistic care, education, protection, and empowerment.
We operate the Wezesha Children's Home (License No. 0006261) in Zinga, Bagamoyo, Tanzania, providing a family-like residential environment for up to 20 children.
We provide comprehensive holistic care including: shelter in a family-like residential environment, quality education and school enrollment support, healthcare and medical services, nutritious meals and clothing, psychosocial support and counseling, and strong child protection measures.
Our approach aligns with contemporary child-welfare standards, emphasizing safe family reintegration when possible and individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.

Due to our current rental property being reclaimed by the landlord, we're undertaking an urgent relocation project to establish a permanent children's home.
Children are admitted through referrals from local authorities, community leaders, or concerned family members. Each case undergoes comprehensive assessment by our social worker and management team.
